"the Cadillac Angels frontman T. Tarz... could easily become the next Chris Isaak - if he weren't so damn cool." - San Francisco Weekly
"have taken the guts of some of Americas traditional rock forms - surf, rockabilly and roots - and rejuvenated them in a stage act that is part dementia, pure electricity and wholly entertaining." - Verde Independent
"What makes the Angels unique and an immediate success wherever they go - aside from their great original songs - is... the dynamic, gymnastic performance ... " - New Times"The Cadillac Angels... the finest rockabilly of any band I've ever worked with in the world." - Wanda Jackson

"Thad Cockrell and Caitlin Cary share songwriting duties - and duet vocals - on their new album, Begonias... The album evokes the spirits of George Jones with Tammy Wynette, or Loretta Lynn with Conway Twitty." - NPR
It's too tempting to make references to the greats - Loretta & Conway, George & Tammy, Dolly & Porter - and there will be a lot of that. The fact is, though, Caitlin Cary & Thad Cockrell...deserve better... Cary & Cockrell don't resurrect the great duets of country music, they have given us a record those giants could not have...with deep reverence for iconic forbears, tempered with the experience of recent history and contemporary reality." - No Depression
"Begonias, the first full-length collaboration between singer/songwriters Caitlin Cary (ex-Whiskeytown) and Thad Cockrell...(is) soaked in traditional country heartbreak... Beyond recalling a forgotten era of country music...the magic John Doe and Exene Cervenka of X (is) often conjured..." - Billboard
"Looks like Caitlin Cary's found her real Gram Parsons. Since she left alt.country whiner Ryan Adams and his band Whiskeytown... Begonias comes as close as anything ever has to the sweet heartbreak of Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris' early '70s one-two pung, GP and Grevious Angel." 4 stars - Paste

Calexico is a diverse collective based around the duo of guitarist/vocalist Joey Burns and drummer John Convertino. The band has been cited as a melting pot for country, indie rock, various Spanish rooted sub-genres, jazz, and many other musical styles. Calexico has released six full-length albums, six original material tour albums, five EPs (one a collaboration with Iron & Wine), and a live DVD. Additionally, they have performed and recorded with notable musicians such as Andrew Bird, Neko Case, Amos Lee, Nancy Sinatra, Glen Hansard, and many more. Calexico’s most recent full-length, Carried To Dust, has received wide-ranging critical praise.
"Carried to Dust isn't just one of Calexico's most expansive albums, it's also their most balanced, channeling their experience and potential into a subtly dramatic, chiaroscuro tour de force." 4.5 stars - All Music Guide
"Ultimately, this is the type of record this band is suited to making, and it richly rewards repeat listening." 8.3/10 - Pitchfork
"Carried To Dust is definitely Calexico's best-sounding record: Each voice and instrument has its place, wheeling around Convertino's graceful drumming like dancers going around the maypole." - Magnet
"Calexico arrives as multiple bands on its new album… At its best, it’s all of them at once, eerie and poetic as it straddles more than one border. - The New York Times
"Carried To Dust‘s songs travel a trail that seems carved out of ancient echoes." - Spin
"It's tempting to think of Carried to Dust as a companion piece to Feast of Wire... And, like that distinguished predecessor, this one is a beauty from start to finish." - Paste

"Formed in the early 90\'s, Caliche Con Carne is helmed by James Jordon, a regular on the Tucson Punk and Underground music scene for over 12 years. The band has performed with many great Country artists like Split Lip Rayfield, Rex Hobart, The Sadies, and other regulars in the Bloodshot Alt Country scene. Caliche combines this Country sensitivity with a south of the border influence to form their own unique blend of authentic styles. " -CD Baby
"Caliche Con Carne skillfully constructs a rural musical melange that effervescently swings from whiskey-soaked Appalachian mountain music to southwestern Tex-Mex festivity to Deep South backwoods bluesiness to rowdy holy-roller revivalism." - Roger Moser, Jr

Califone over the past year have played just three shows total. The next 12 months will be different, however: the band has completed what will be its first studio disc in nearly three years, Roots & Crowns, due on Thrill Jockey in early October, and will begin touring heavily come autumn... and Plush is one of their stops! Their last release, Heron King Blues, was praised near and far by the critics.
"On Heron King Blues, Califone continues to sharpen the attack they mounted on Quicksand/Cradlesnakes: a very natural-sounding blend of folk and blues, experimental rock, and electronic textures." 4 stars - All Music Guide
"Album No. 5 from Chicago's finest purveyors of 21st century opium folk rock finds Califone getting farther out than ever, laying it on heavy with the ambient textures and oddball percussion. ... Tim Rutili still crafts a tuneful funeral dirge with the best of them." - Spin8.5/10 - Pitchfork Media
"A free and forward-thinking kind of record, but also one that taps into forgotten, mythic resonances of American music without ever sounding ersatz, hokey or remotely contrived." 4 stars - Uncut"Like Tom Waits or Wilco... Califone starts with familiar elements and song structures, then mucks around with them, adding grit and dirt, stretching, cracking and reassembling, until something wholly new, and wholly captivating, results." - Harp

"on (Calla's)... narcotic fourth album, mid-tempo keyboards and processed guitars create a gorgeous watercolor wash...like an uber-distressed Conor Oberst... My Bloody Valentine homages...(and) an unexpected nod to Portishead." - Spin
"Calla are often overlooked as one of New York's finest underground acts. Televise, the trio's third album, is lush and goth-y and druggy... a seductive piece of work." - Rolling Stone
"If Joy Division were to have formed in the last few years, they might sound similar to Calla." - INK 19
"Calla are the sound that remains after ...Trail Of Dead have dropped to their knees, broken men... At times, Calla could be America's answer to The Bends-era Radiohead." 8/10 - NME
"Imagine listening to Nine Inch Nails on horse tranquilizers and you've got the fatalistic flow..." - Esquire
"Calla's latest carpet bombs the indie malaise. Hot-wiring the subtle anthemics of early U2 with the celestial tinkering of My Bloody Valentine..." - Details
"Sinister and atmospheric" 4/5 - Alternative Press
"Calla's tension-filled deliberations are similar to the calibrated push-and-pull of Sigur Ros." 4 stars - Blender

Calle Debauche is an instrumental art rock outfit, consisting of sax, tuba, marimba, guitar, and drums. The band's style mixes the intricacy of progressive rock with punk energy, musicianship borrowed from metal, klezmer, Eastern European folk, ska, and an openness to experimentation.
"For those out there that enjoy the more unusual side of music, I would highly recommend checking Calle Debauche out." - Progressive Ears
"Inventive arrangements - filled with quick-change stylistic curve balls enhanced by masterful production touches - are at the very least pleasing to the ear, and Calle Debauche are audaciously way outside the loop in even playing this kind of stuff in the 21st century United States." - All Music Guide
"Some music is pleasant. Calle Debauche’s is downright amazing." - Rock & Reprise

"Camera Obscura's Underachievers... Captures a portion of the wispy bedsit magic that used to mark some of The Field Mice's best work and boosts it with the lush...chamber-pop of Belle & Sebastian's first flourishes of glory." 8.0/10 - Pitchfork Media
"Underachievers Please Try Harder... (is) a necessary addition to the collection of Belle & Sebastian fans, indie pop fans, and music lovers." 4 stars - All Music Guide
